BUTTE, MT  |  COPPER KING CONVENTION CENTER
NOVEMBER 8 - NOVEMBER 10

The Radiant Women’s Retreat is a weekend free of responsibilities created just for foster and adoptive moms. Come find rest. Find fun. Find freedom.

Come and be restored.

“He restores my soul...”
Psalm 23:3
Come and find rest for your soul. When our lives become defined by the busyness of foster care, our souls begin to crave rest. Whether you’re feeling weary or completely soul-worn, Christ invites us to come to Him and lay our burdens at His feet. This year, we’re creating an intentional space for you to pause and soak in His promised provision. Come and let Him turn your mourning into dancing, your weeping into rejoicing, your anxiety into peace. Let your good God restore and replenish you — body, mind and soul.

Weekend Features

  • Sweat
    Sesh

What mom has time to go to the gym these days, and yet how many of us still feel the need to move? Exercise is good for our bodies and our mindset, aiding in our ability to think critically and remain calm in times of stress. Pack that adorable workout set you wear to school pick up and get ready to feel great in your skin in this energetic, fun-filled high intensity training workout!

  • Soul
    Care

Discover a realistic way to incorporate quiet time with the Lord into your day with a guided session of Lectio Divina. Practiced by the earliest Christians, Lectio Divina is an ancient way of reading scripture with the intention of connecting with the heart of God. Join us for a guided time of quiet meditation of the Word and pursue a deeper relationship with our Father God.

  • Worship &
    Prayer

Back by popular demand this year, Jess McDonald brings a down-to-earth energy and a heart for God to lead us in a time of joyous worship. Experience the replenishing power of music and fellowship as we lift our voices to the One who hears.

  • House
    Time

The isolation that often comes with foster care can feel so overwhelming and lonely. This is your chance to meet your people, others foster and adoptive moms from your area who understand the struggle. Come connect with the women who will meet you for coffee or cry with you on your couch. Because they’ve been there too, and they get it.

  • Birth Parent
    Connections

Do you struggle to love or connect with your child’s birth families as God does? You are not alone. We can know God desires restoration and reconciliation, but how do we actively show compassion when we’re feeling weary, weak or even angry? During this panel, you’ll hear from real moms who have navigated the tricky walk with birth families as they lay the groundwork for building healthy relationships with birth parents.

  • Girls Just Wanna' Have Fun

We’re bringing back the 80’s for a stellar night featuring a sweet and salty dessert bar, games and music, duh! We’ve got iconic props that will have you looking like a total betty and fun ice breakers to help you meet your new BFF.

  • Mom
    Prom

Break out your favorite dress and your most sparkly shoes for a night to remember. Or wear your favorite jeans and don a complimentary tiara! Music, dancing, games, desserts — it’s the all-girl prom night you didn’t know you needed. You won’t want to miss your spin at the Wheel of Fun to take home some amazing prizes. No curfew. No awkward teenage boys. Just you and your girls getting all dressed up to have the time of your lives.

Radiant has a new look – a sparkling new logo to reflect the heart of this retreat and the women who make it special. Psalm 137 says God determines the number of stars and knows them each by name. You are one of those precious stars – a beautiful beacon of light guiding those lost in darkness. Yes, Christ Himself called you into motherhood, to be Mom. But He also knows you by your name, and this weekend, we want you to feel seen, known and celebrated for all of who you are. Because you are Radiant.

      Breakout Topics

On average, one in six children struggle to process certain sensory information. Sensitivities to specific smells, sounds or textures can lead to big behaviors. But understanding your child’s sensory needs can help you avoid related meltdowns. Join us to learn practical ways to make your home a sensory-safe zone.

Unwind with our fun, minimalistic wreath-making activity. This is a free time of casual creativity — make a holiday-themed wreath or match your dream home aesthetic. Whichever you choose, come laugh and create something beautiful to take home with you.

Jesus and his disciples practiced self-care, taking time and space to fill their cups with God’s love in order to pour it back into His people. Jesus laid out the steps for godly self-care. Learn the discipline of “soul care” from the ultimate role model so that you can pour into the children God has entrusted to you.

Time out! Do you find yourself replaying lost opportunities to connect with your kids in your mind? The whiplash of your child’s demands for attention followed by sudden rage can sometimes result in some unplanned reactions on our part. This is the break you’ve been looking for, a chance to learn and rehearse ways to connect in those moments in a fun, interactive and judgement-free environment.

Your toolbox is full of tools to help calm your kids, but how do you refill your own tank and rekindle your joy? Foster moms often get stuck in overdrive – rapidly switching gears between fired up, melting down and exhausted. Let’s take a moment to breathe. Come learn simple, practical ways to care for your body, spirit and mind moment by moment so you can continue to run the race before you.

This interactive breakout will cover the different types of grief a foster/adoptive mom may experience. We’ll learn coping strategies and provide encouragement for the grieving mom’s heart through written exercises. Come ready to be uplifted as you learn the art of lament, a God-given spiritual discipline for dealing with the painful messiness of the work into which God has invited us.

What seeds has God planted within you that you long to see bloom and grow? What fears and hurts threaten to overtake the hard work and care you’ve poured out? Together, we’ll share unspoken shame and discover unexpected blessings hidden in the garden of your life with this beautiful, explorative craft — no green thumb or artistic prowess necessary.
