Lydia is 14 years old and in her sophomore year in high school.
Lydia is a very active girl! She enjoys all kinds of activities and never passes up an opportunity to participate. Sports such as basketball and swimming are favorite activities. She was recently a student manager of her volleyball team and was a big help. Being a helper extends to what she does at home too. She is good at taking responsibility for her chores and asking what else needs to be done.
She also enjoys crafting activities like beading and is good at drawing. Lydia likes animals and has participated in an equine therapy program which she really enjoyed. It will be important for Lydia to be a in a family who respect her as a growing young woman, will listen to her and involve her in decisions.
Lydia gets along well with children of all ages, but a family with older children might be best so that her new family can focus on her needs. The ideal family will be able to care for both Lydia and her brother Kurtis. If two families care for them, it will be important for them to facilitate together time for these children.
