Fifteen-year-old Joey has a great sense of humor! This witty Freshman likes joking around with others, is a Lego master and loves participating in Special Olympics sports. Joey enjoys going to school.
This young man needs a forever home where he can feel secure and know he is loved. Joey has missed out on having trustworthy relationships and the security and love that goes along with that. He needs a forever family who is willing to commit to his emotional and physical needs through consistency and frequent affirmation.
Joey has some learning and health challenges that will cause him to do best in a structured home, one with clear expectations that are communicated in a way that he can understand. For him to prepare for transitions, he needs to be told well in advance about things happening in the future.
A best fit for Joey will be a family without children his same age, so that he can receive the affirmation of security and love his heart needs right now. A home with older children may be a very positive fit so he can model their behavior. Joey enjoys spending time with his sisters and grandmother, so it will be important for his family to help him maintain that connection.
