Bill Goodwin was born and raised in West Virginia. After graduating from Duke University, he joined the Northwestern Mutual where he spent his entire business career. For the final 27 years of that career, he was the company’s Managing Partner for their Atlanta, Georgia, office. During his tenure there, his team built an esteemed organization, and in 1996 Bill became the 33rd person to be inducted into the industry’s Agency Management Hall of Fame. He has served as a Trustee of The American College, West Virginia Wesleyan College, and Athletes In Action. Currently he is a Board Member of The Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch in Billings and serves on the Elder Board of Crossroads Christian Fellowship.
Bill discovered a heart for kids working as a camp counselor during his college summers and has nurtured that passion as a parent of 4 and grandparent of 15. He has been married to Valerie, his college sweethear,t for 48 years. They have resided in Bigfork since his retirement in 2005.
