Aaron joined Child Bridge in early 2015.
Spending his earliest years in Florida and Alabama, his family settled in Libby, Montana and growing up he enjoyed all that small town, country living had to offer.
The son of a pastor, Aaron didn’t plan on following in his father’s ministry footsteps. So, with a love for children and interest in helping them, he pursued his college education at Williams Baptist College in Arkansas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a focus on middle grade education.
As he was wrapping up that degree, much to his surprise, Aaron felt the call to enter the ministry field. He attended seminary at Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Alberta, and earned a Master’s of Divinity. Shortly after graduating, he became Senior Pastor of the Boulder Valley Baptist Church, where he pastored for 4 years. During some of that time, he was also the Chaplin for the Sweet Grass County Sheriff’s Department. He has also been involved in short term missions work serving in Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, Canada, China and India.
At Child Bridge, Aaron leads the foster/adoptive family recruiting efforts at churches, and works with pastors and elder boards to strengthen congregations to serve children and families on the foster/adoptive journey. His child welfare education includes State of Montana Foster/Adoptive Licensing Training as well as Youth Dynamics Therapeutic Foster/Adoptive Training and Empowered to Connect (Dr. Karyn Purvis) education.
Aaron’s wife Alicia, is also involved in the nonprofit child welfare world, serving on staff at CASA. Aaron and Alicia are parents to two busy, young sons.
